25th Anniversary

Celebrating 2006 with Two Major Milestones. . .

Anniversary Collage
In 2006 82 Queen will celebrate two major milestones; the beginning of their 25th year and the one-year anniversary of the survival of Joe Sliker and Steve Kish in their respective battles against cancer. “We are fortunate to be alive to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We will take the opportunity of our 25th anniversary to make a meaningful contribution to our community and to the fight against cancer,” comments Joe Sliker. “We have dedicated 2006, the year of our 25th anniversary to support the life-saving efforts of the Hollings Cancer Center,” continues Steve Kish.

Lending his tremendous talent to the year-long fundraising efforts of 82 Queen is good friend and prominent Charleston artist, John Carroll Doyle.  John has graciously donated an original oil painting titled, “82 Queen Street” valued at $16,000.  The painting has been reproduced in full color, 18” x 24” posters, available for sale.   Additionally, a reproduction of “82 Queen Street,”  along with reproductions of four additional John Doyle originals, have been incorporated into 82 Queen’s 25th Anniversary note card series titled, “Streets of Charleston,” also available for sale.

As they launch a year-long celebration, the owners of 82 Queen have committed not only the proceeds from the drawing for an original John Carroll Doyle painting; they have committed the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets and all 25th Anniversary merchandise to the Hollings Cancer Center.
